Herbal Supplements Help Increase Mental Clarity And Concentration

Do you, like so many Americans today, struggle to maintain your concentration and focus while completing your daily tasks? Increasing numbers of people are turning to mind-enhancing supplements for the boost in performance that they need, but these do not always deliver the long-lasting benefits one hopes for. For a physical and mental boost that lasts, look to high-quality, natural dietary supplements such as Stemulite.

The key to Stemulite's efficacy in boosting mental performance is that it promotes a more healthy metabolism, which, in turn, encourages your neurotransmitters to function more efficiently. The end result is that you can concentrate more deeply, remember things more easily, and simply feel more alert and energetic. If you want to achieve these results without risking the potentially dangerous side effects of poor-quality supplements, Stemulite may be for you.

Neurotransmitters: the Key to Performing Better Mentally

Neurotransmitters such as norephinephrine, dopamine, GABA and serotonin play an important role in your mood and thinking processes. Some are connected with feelings of pleasure and love, while others are associated with energy, stimulation and anxiety. Different neurotransmitters produce different feelings and emotional states, and a deficiency in any area can result in poor mental performance and feelings of depression or low self-esteem.

Dietary supplements that support healthy neurotransmitter functioning can improve your mood and improve mental performance on a regular basis. When neurotransmitters are not able to cross the blood-brain barrier, you may notice several negative mood states and feelings of lethargy, low motivation and even depression. Stemulite contains several ingredients that enhance neurotransmitter functioning, which can help improve mental processing with ease.

What Brain-Boosting Ingredients Are in Stemulite?

Here are just a few of the key ingredients that Stemulite incorporates, and some of the ways in which they contribute to your mental well-being.

L-Carnitine - one of the most important ingredients in Stemulite is L-carnitine, an amino acid derivative that crosses the blood-brain barrier with ease. This results in mental clarity and improved memory, and can also reduce the impact of oxidative damage of the cells.

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) - a common supplement taken by bodybuilders and athletes, ALA can improve healthy cell metabolism and convert food into energy for all of your muscles and cells - and your brain. When your brain is adequately supplied with energy, you'll notice a significant improvement in mental performance, along with a boost of energy.

Eggplant extract - this extract contains an alkaloid that can help improve muscle and tissue development. This means you can enjoy the benefits of improved tissue repair, which may also help with better mental performance over time.

Indium is a rare earth mineral with balancing effects on both the adrenal system and hormone levels. Its benefits include better sleep, enhanced oxygen flow to muscles, and increased memory.

You should always be sure to nourish your body with healthy foods and consistent physical activity, but a supplementation program incorporating Stemulite or another all-natural herbal supplement will do wonders for your emotional state, memory, and ability to focus on your daily tasks, without your having to worry about the side effects and mood swings that come with some other supplements.

Eating Plans and Tips for Beginning Bodybuilders

Increasing muscle size, strength and endurance is the result of a consistent workout regimen and a sound nutrition program with the aid of a complete nutritional supplement. To ensure that they are meeting their performance goals and eating just enough to feed their muscles, most professional bodybuilders and athletes go through 'phases' during the course of their training programs. It's important to note that most of the muscle gaining takes place in the off season, a time when eating large amounts of protein, eating small meals, and taking supplements throughout the day is essential for you to attain your desired goals.

After this phase, bodybuilders go through several phases that involve changing the amount of carbohydrate-rich foods, lean proteins and supplements like Stemulite that support the training program at each stage. Understanding what is involved in each of these phases can help you create an effective training program that gets the results you need.

The Off Season - Your goal for this phase is to build as much muscle as you can. According to Louise Burke, author of the book "Practical Sports Nutrition", bodybuilders support their performance outcome by eating high amounts of protein and healthy carbs throughout the day. They typically follow a consistent schedule of these foods to make sure they're meeting their protein requirements and may design their eating plan around their workouts to further enhance results.

Hypertrophy Phase – A bodybuilder is required to follow a rigid eating plan that means eating every 2 or 3 hours and even throughout the night. To eat just enough food to maintain weight and to be able to allow the body to increase strength is your goal for this phase. This is done with careful selection of muscle-building foods and healthy carbs that provide sustainable energy.

Competition Prep - Most bodybuilders begin their competition preparation between 6 to 16 weeks before the event. This period requires a bodybuilder to maintain a schedule of sustained weight loss up to the event and involves severe calorie restriction to to help get rid of body fat. Eliminating body fat, and not muscle that was built up over the off-season is the primary goal of this phase. To be able to attain this, consuming low-fat, high protein meals, or replacing a meal with a complete nutritional supplement like Stemulite Fitness Formula, and coordinate meals with a regular workout regimen.

Cutting Phase - This involves severe calorie restriction to stimulate rapid fat loss, and typically occurs before the competitive event. Many bodybuilders rely on supplements to achieve nutritional balance as they drastically reduce their calorie intake. So that the body can recover easily, this phase includes intensive circuit training routines and more rest.

Post Competition - Since bodybuilders have been on a near starvation diet for up to 6 months before a competition, many bodybuilders consume enormous amounts of food immediately after the competition. This is a health hazard for many because a drastic increase in weight in a short period of time. To avoid compromising their health in the during this stage and to maintain some of the results they have worked hard for, bodybuilders should ease themselves into a healthier diet program.

With the different phases most bodybuilder goes through, maintaining a steady nutrition program is not easy. However, sound nutritional principles, using a supplement like Stemulite, and working with a nutritionist or dietitian throughout training can help you increase your chances of long-term success.

Why High Protein Shakes Benefit Bodybuilding Programs

All bodybuilders, athletes and fitness enthusiasts that want to improve their stamina and performance and keep their body in great shape throughout training season need to adhere to a quality nutrition program. High protein shakes are a necessary addition to the average training nutrition program because they are easily digested and can help with the muscle repair and recovery process almost instantaneously.

Among the many choices of protein shakes, supplements and powders, many athletes favor products that are made with whey or soy protein. There are some high protein shakes and supplements that only contain rice protein powders, creatine and other forms of muscle enhancing ingredients. Whey and whey protein have special properties that are not in milk protein, as stated in the studies specified in "Amino Acids and Proteins for the Athlete" book by Mauro G. Di Pasquale.

Homemade high protein shakes are blended with protein powders, various fruits, yogurt and oat products and sweeteners, and can be taken instead of a meal or in between meals. There are also convenient ready to drink formulas made by certain supplement companies to meet the nutritional requirements of people with a busy lifestyle that do not have enough time to make homemade shakes.

High protein shakes contain a number of essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals, and many are ?complete meals' and can be substituted for food. Ready to drink shakes may be nutritionally balanced and the perfect addition to a low-carb diet. Since many bodybuilders and athletes adhere to these types of diets, consuming high protein shakes at regular intervals throughout the day can help them meet their daily nutrition requirements and ensure that the calories are coming from a healthy source.

Aside from being a steady source of energy, whey protein and the various protein supplements greatly improves metabolism.High protein shakes made with fresh fruit, juices and oatmeal are chock full of nutrients, vitamins and minerals that help support a healthy metabolism and provide a boost of energy. Immediately after rigorous training, this can be consumed to stop the blood sugar level from dropping and to help muscle repair.

Yet, one of the main advantages of high protein shakes is that it is easily absorbed by the body because it can be quickly digested. Athletes and bodybuilders have very few recommended food options to be taken after rigorous training as any food intake will have faster than normal absorption and utilization. When high protein shakes are consumed after exercise, the maximum absorption rate is at its peak allowing the vital nutrients to aid muscle recovery within hours. Doing this will greatly reduce risk from injury and appease your hunger.

Timing the consumption of high protein shakes, protein powders and supplements is essential for individuals that want to maximize muscle gains and improve metabolic efficiency overall. Consuming supplements immediately after a workout or between meals as a snack can ward off hunger pangs and ensure maximum absorption. Protein powders and shakes can complement an athlete's or bodybuilders' nutrition program so that they are consuming high quality nutrients and making the most of every calorie.

6 Ways to Get Started With Bodybuilding

Increasing muscle strength and size are synonymous with weightlifting and bodybuilding. However, weightlifting and bodybuilding offer other fitness benefits as well. Aside from developing strength, you can also improve your stamina and endurance and decrease body fat. If you would want to start or just starting out with weight training, make sure to follow these essential tips to maximize your results.

1. Set realistic goals. Bodybuilding is not a shortcut to attain your desired body but rather a continuous process towards fitness. Be honest with yourself about how much time you can commit to this endeavor. Your results will largely depend on the time and effort you put into your training. You should design a bodybuilding program that you can perform over several weeks.

2. Don't forget about cardio. Cardiovascular training will help you build stamina and endurance, and will complement your weight training routine. However, it's easy to overdo cardio when you're getting started; limit cardio sessions to just 30 minutes, 3-4 times per week to get the most out of your workouts.

3. Diversify your training. Author Bill Pearl of "Getting Stronger", a bodybuilding and weight lifting book, underscores the importance of altering or changing routines regularly. Change your training every four to six weeks to work out different muscle groups and keep your training sessions fresh and enjoyable.

4. Dress properly. What you wear in the gym has an effect on your workout as well. The right shoes and clothing can make your workout more comfortable and prevent possible injuries. Besides, wearing the right clothes can make you feel good about yourself every time you look in your gym's mirrors.

5. Measure your results. Measuring your results helps in increasing your motivation and long-term commitment because the practice allows you to see your progress concretely. Consider keeping a workout log, measuring your body before and after a workout, and taking photos of yourself to keep track of your progress.

6. Mental Training. You might think that weight training and bodybuilding is purely physical, but your training would also involve a great deal of your mind as well. You would need self-discipline to stick with your program. You would also need determination and concentration to go through pain and difficulties. You would inevitably develop mental toughness as you push yourself to your physical limits.

Starting out a bodybuilding program is not hard. Just remember to put in the necessary time and effort in your commitment and you'll soon see noticeable results in no time.

Bodybuilding Tips - Signs of Improper Nutrition

The types of foods you eat and when you eat them are essential for bodybuilding success, but very few athletes really understand what it takes to maintain a healthy nutrition program. Bodybuilders involved in competition often resort to extreme weight loss that leaves them stressed, fatigued and incapable of increasing muscle size and strength later in their careers. You can avoid falling into the trap of a poor nutrition program by maintaining a log of your food and caloric intake, and making sure you follow the key nutritional guidelines for bodybuilders in training.

Catherine Jackson, author of the book "Nutrition for the Recreational Athlete"explains that following a very strict, high-protein diet often leads to irritability and decreased endurance. This can be remedied by initially consuming adequate amounts of calories. I'll list here some basic and valuable guidelines on nutrition to help you with your training.

Decreased strength - Strength is an important factor in maintaining a regular training program and too little protein affects strength. It would be ideal if you were getting your supply of protein from a variety of sources. It would be better if you source your protein from organic products such as chicken breasts (or white meat), egg whites and soy-based products.

Moodiness or irritability - A lack of carbohydrates in one's diet is correlated with moodiness and irritability. These mental states are often caused by low-blood level due to inadequate consumption of carbohydrates. In addition, a lack of carbohydrates will affect your ability to focus. Maintain healthy blood sugar levels by eating whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the day, combined with protein to slow down blood sugar absorption.

More frequent sick days - Not eating a varied diet can make you prone to developing a cold or infection, which makes it very difficult for you to maintain a consistent workouts schedule. Combat this by incorporating different food groups into your diet. Consume foods that are high in B vitamins and minerals such as milk, fish and soybeans.

Decreased speed - If you've been focused on increasing endurance but can't get past your usual times on the treadmill or during your sprint sessions, you may not be fueling up or eating before your workout. Eating carbohydrates at least one hour before training will give you the energy you need to bring you back to speed.

Lack of motivation - Losing interest in working out is a surefire sign that you're not eating enough and getting enough rest. Give your body enough time for rest. Not eating right can also cause stress to your body. Distribute your food intake throughout the day to stabilize your energy level. Successful athletes are generally known to eat at 2-3 hour intervals.

The bottom line is that improper nutrition leads to training related problems. A great way to boost your training is to take nutritional supplements, such as Stemulite. You might not be getting all the nutrients you need, so taking in supplements will plug the nutritional holes in your diet. Consider taking Stemulite to enhance your performance and improve your well-being.

Top Benefits Of Whey Protein Shakes For Bodybuilders

A growing body of research shows that bodybuilders and athletes can improve performance and muscle gains when consuming whey protein shakes and products. Whey protein is a derivative of real milk and not only supplies the body with protein, but also contains high concentrations of calcium, magnesium and other minerals that are absorbed readily in liquid form. Whether you're on a muscle gaining diet or want to lose body fat, consuming whey protein shakes before and after your workout can power up your fitness routine and give you better results overall.

Gregg Avedon, author of the book, "Men's Health Muscle Chow" encourages training bodybuilders to consume a 'clean' diet with a lot of lean protein and to drink at least one protein shake each day. Consider these key benefits of whey protein shakes in bodybuilding and training:

1. Convenient source of nutrients. Whey protein drinks are easily digested and its nutrients are easily absorbed by the body. This makes it ideal for athletes and bodybuilders who lead a fast-paced lifestyle.

2. Does not contain lactose. Athletes and bodybuilders who are allergic to lactose can drink whey protein as an alternative to milk. Whey protein shakes have the same vitamins and minerals as real milk does less the lactose.

3. Rich in amino acids. The body needs high quality protein and essential amino acids to function optimally. Whey protein powders and shakes contain high concentrations of amino acids that aid with protein synthesis and can balance out any nutrition program.

4. Easy to use. Whey protein powders and shakes can be mixed into other foods and drinks for variety. Bodybuilders can mix whey protein powder into oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast; enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie made with a base of their favorite whey protein shake mix; or mix protein powder into soups and broths for a nourishing meal. There are countless ways to consume whey protein and enjoy a varied diet.

5. Improves muscle repair. After an intensive workout - especially one that involves heavy weight training or intensive training - the body needs to repair itself and can do this properly with a quality nutrition program. Protein is one of the essential building blocks for muscle repair and growth, and can be absorbed readily in the form of whey protein shakes and supplements. Consuming these shakes immediately after a workout can trigger rapid muscle recovery and improve overall strength.

6. Regulates appetite. Whey protein drinks can be consumed as a meal replacement or a supplemental snack. Protein gives off energy to our bodies slowly and for a longer period. This results in a reduced appetite thus helps bodybuilders get the timing of their diet right.

7. Boosts the metabolism. Consuming high quality protein at regular intervals throughout the day can serve as a vital source of energy and keeps the metabolism running at peak efficiency. This ensures optimal calorie burning and can also reduce feelings of hunger. It also prevents overeating at the next meal, since the bodybuilder or athlete feels more satisfied with less food.

Choosing the Best Protein Powder for Bodybuilding Nutrition

Professional bodybuilders are required to follow a low-carb, high protein diet in order to maximize muscle gains and improve their performance. A high quality nutrition program ensures optimal recovery after intensive training sessions and competitions, which in turn boosts performance over time. Making sure the right type of protein powder is being consumed at regular intervals throughout the day is essential for overall health and metabolic efficiency.

There are different formulations of protein powders and choosing the right one depends on an individual's training goals, preferences, diet, and allergy to certain ingredients. Below are some questions that you can use as a guideline in selecting the most appropriate protein powder formulation for you.

1.Is the drink easy to prepare and consume? Most protein formulations can be made into a shake by dissolving it in water. Some formulas are even available on a ready-to-drink variety. This is ideal for those who do not have the time and the means to prepare a shake recipe.

2. What amino acids are included in the protein powder? You have to be aware of what type and how much amino acids are included in the protein powder's formula. Amino acids promote muscle growth but different protein powders have varying amounts of them. According to John Hansen, author of the book "Natural Bodybuilding", whey protein contains the most important amino acids for muscle repair and is ideally consumed after a training session.

3. What flavors are available? Most brands of protein powder are available in plain, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and tropical flavors, making it easier for the average bodybuilder or athlete to enjoy a varied diet. Consider the different flavors or a particular brand, and taste test several varieties to make sure you enjoy the taste and texture of the product. This is especially important if you plan to buy the powder in bulk.

4. Is the formula a snack drink or meal replacement? Protein powders are either meant to be as a snack drink or as a meal in itself. Snack drinks are great for those looking to supplement their low-calorie diet. A meal replacement formula requires you to make significant change in your diet as it contains more carbohydrates and calories compared to the snack form.

5. How can the formula be used? Protein powders are generally formulated to dissolve in water and consumed as a drink. There are others that can be made into a shake or be mixed with soups. If it is your first time using protein powders, try out different brands and buy in small quantities first to ensure that you'll be able to stick with your diet for a long period.

The problem is that drinking the same ready-made protein shake is tiring. The solution to this is to concoct your own protein shake.

You can create your own shake recipes by mixing protein powder with other ingredients. In this way, you create a drink that suits your tastes while providing the nutrition you need. Authors Susan Bowerman and David Heber, of the book "The L.A. Shape Diet" explains that protein shake recipes can be adjusted depending on the nutritional needs of a person. Try these shake recipes to spice up your training and nutritional program:

Banana Shake: Combine 30 grams of vanilla protein powder with 1 medium banana, 1 cup of soy milk, 1 teaspoon golden syrup and 3 to 4 ice cubes in a blender. Eating Plans and Tips for Beginning Bodybuilders

You can only increase strength, endurance and muscle size by following a consistent training program and a proper nutritional plan. Training programs of pro bodybuilders and athletes are divided into several phases or stages with different performance objectives tied with specific nutritional requirements for each phase. The bulk of muscle development takes place during the off-season phase wherein a bodybuilder eats protein-packed small meals throughout a day.

There are other phases besides off season. Each phase requires an athlete to alter his or her nutritional program in terms of the amount of carbohydrates, protein and supplements in support of his or her training regimen for the specific phase. Knowledge of these phases can help you maximize the results you get out of all the effort you put in training.

Off-season Phase - The main objective in this phase is to develop the muscles to the max. High protein foods and healthy carbohydrates are needed by an athlete to achieve this phase's objective, according to Luis Burke, author of the book "Practical Sports Nutrition". Bodybuilders maintain a regular eating schedule, which can be planned around workout sessions for improved results.

Hypertrophy - The main goal during this phase is to increase strength while maintaining weight. Athletes typically follow a strict diet eating every 2 to 3 hours. The diet consists of foods that support muscle growth and healthy carbohydrates for energy upkeep.

Competition Prep phase - The phase's main objective is to lose weight gradually and burn body fats without burning muscles built up during the previous phases. This phase starts 6 to 16 weeks prior to a competition event. Bodybuilders in competition prep eat a low fat and high protein planned around workout sessions.

Cutting stage - Swift fat loss is the main objective here. Bodybuilders severely reduce their caloric intake and take supplements to meet nutritional requirements. This phase is normally done right before a competition event. Bodybuilders also do circuit training and increase their resting time to aid body recovery.

Post Competition phase - Bodybuilders are often tempted to overindulge themselves in food after going through restricted diets for months. This practice is dangerous as it promotes rapid weight gain in a small span of time. Besides being a health hazard, most of the results that have been built up during previous phases are erased with rapid weight gain. It is highly recommended for bodybuilders to transition slowly into a healthy nutritional program after each competition.

Maintaining a steady nutrition program is difficult with the different phases that most bodybuilders go through. However, sound nutritional principles and working with a nutritionist or dietitian throughout training can help you increase your chances of long-term success.

Bodybuilding Basics - Eating Right for Strength and Muscle Gains

Eating right is an important element of bodybuilding success, especially if you're a beginning athlete. Sound nutrition will help you maintain a steady level of energy and ensure you can complete each and every workout session; the only way you'll be able to build muscle and strength in the long-term is by eating enough calories throughout the day and getting enough rest. Eating the wrong foods at the wrong time can set you up for disaster, and severely limit your performance and muscle gains.

Bodybuilders don't always get the best nutritional advice, according to Catherine Ratzin Jackson, author of "Nutrition for the Recreational Athlete". She explains that bodybuilders source these advices from tips provided by magazines and nutrition stores' experts. These sources may mean well in giving out advices, but most of the time, these sources do not bother to be as precise in giving out information. Take these advices with a grain of salt. Get your facts about nutrition right. Here is some nutrition basics accepted and followed by professional bodybuilders.

1. Do not rush your weight loss. Rushing your weight loss will make it more difficult for you to achieve your desired strength and muscle gain as lean body tissues also disintegrate during rapid weight loss. This type of weight loss is most likely the result of a low-calorie diet, which often leads to electrolyte imbalances. A low-fat and high-protein diet can be detrimental to your health and in your ability to be in your ideal body weight.

2. Always calculate your protein requirements. Muscles need protein to build up strength and mass. Just make sure that you are getting the right amount of it. Too much or too little of this nutrient will not produce your desired results. Different people need to take different amounts of protein as measured by their Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). The RDA of protein for sedentary individuals is 0.8g/kg per day. While for athletes, the RDA is set at 1.0-1.5 g/kg. Make it a habit now to check the nutritional labels of each food you eat to keep track of your protein consumption.

3. Get used to eating organic. The best foods we can eat are still unprocessed, natural foods. Eating foods from plant and animal sources that are loaded with nutrients is the often-neglected key to bodybuilding success. Our bodies cannot efficiently digest meal replacements and supplements. Better stick to real food so that your body will get all the nutrients it needs to develop.

4. Exercise caution in taking supplements. It is now widely acceptable to use supplements for performance enhancement. Supplements are a great help to any athlete but they do cause some negative side effects, especially if abused. Supplements are designed to be added, or supplement, our nutrition program. Supplements are by no means created to replace proper diet and exercise.

5. Pay attention to the foods you eat before and after your workout session. These are your primetime muscle building periods, so it's essential to keep track of what and when you're eating. Maintain a food log if necessary so you can become more conscientious about your food choices and get the timing right.
